Working With Our Community!

In our ongoing journey to achieve the highest level of historical accuracy, we study originals to learn as much as we can about historically authentic techniques and designs. We go as far as booking private handling sessions in museums such as Kelvingrove, Scotland, where we had the opportunity to study the Avant harness out of its display case.
As a modern armoury, we believe it is important to be present in our community of Medieval Reenactment. All our staff are keen historical reenactors who attend all the main UK events such as the Tewkesbury Festival, Barnet, Battle of Hastings, Evesham and Shrewsbury.
Lancaster Armoury has a presence on YouTube where we have featured on historical channels like The History Squad, and blacksmithing channels such as Alec Steele. We believe this helps introduce the world of historical medieval armoury to a wider audience in the hopes to get more people inspired in the industry.
Lancaster Armoury works to support friends in the historical artisan industry, such as Nidhoggr Mead who makes true medieval mead using real honey, and are a fellow English company based in Yorkshire.
At Lancaster Armoury we are very proud when valued customers send us photos of themselves wearing items that we made for them - just like our good friend Andrew here. We use our social media platforms to show off their Reenactment kits to help nurture a close and friendly community.
Lancaster Armoury are the main supplier of Artos Munitorum - a company that sells high quality Reenactment armour for the common soldier. We believe in Artos' vision of improving the standard of historical accuracy on the field at Reenactment events which is why we work closely with Artos Munitorum to study historical originals and reproduce highly authentic yet affordable products which are directly inspired by the museum artefacts.
